Sales Manager

Based in the Isle of Man and reporting to the General Manager, the main duties of this position comprise the establishment of strategic sales targets with regards to product groups ad markets, co-operation with the CVI Melles Griot global manufacturing facilities and sales offices. Providing leadership and working with a wide customer base the successful candidate will be able to deal with a wide variety of technical requests, assisted by an inside and field-based sales team. The duties also include long-term strategic sales planning and training of the sales team.

The position requires a detailed understanding of the global optics industry as well and a familiarity with optical manufacturing processes. Furthermore, experience in budgeting and forecasting future sales levels and working within a globally-orientated company are essential. While a degree in physics or engineering is not essential, it will be a distinct advantage. We are looking to recruit a self-motivated individual who is willing to work in a busy environment that might require long working hours. The position does require international travel.
